Infrared (infrared) is a relatively new, high-end, non-invasive technique that allows the inspector to reveal hidden anomalies about buildings or homes which can’t be revealed by traditional inspection methods. A thermal imaging camera can show a thermographer valuable temperature differences. These differences could be sources of leaks or gaps in a wall or other building material, which would be very difficult if not impossible to detect using other techniques.
